Honestly much more entertaining than I expected. Setting the dominoes up normally takes forever, so having the train do it automatically makes the whole thing way more fun. My daughter loves making curved tracks and then seeing if she can get every single domino to fall in one go.
Kids thought it was brilliant!
This has been a massive hit in our house. My kids love loading up all the dominoes, steering the train around to make their own little paths and then setting off the chain reaction at the end. They’ve already come up with so many different layouts and somehow don’t get bored of resetting it haha.
Really fun and keeps them busy.
My son loves watching the train lay all the dominoes out by itself. He keeps changing the direction to make different tracks and then knocking the whole thing down.

Putting the dominoes back into the cartridge became a little routine after each run. The kids did not seem to mind because they knew another chain reaction was coming.

My granddaughter made new paths around the playroom during a screen-free hour; the cause-and-effect kept them interested.
At grandma's house, our oldest made new paths around the playroom. The custom paths stopped it feeling repetitive; sharing turns was easier than expected.
My daughter has started timing how long a full line takes to fall after setup. It has added a little challenge that keeps the set feeling fresh.
The domino trail looks especially good when the colours are mixed through the cartridge. The kids spent nearly as long arranging colours as they did steering.

The train became the part everyone wanted to control, especially once they figured out the steering knob. Once the dominoes start falling, everyone stops to watch and then immediately starts planning the next run.
The cause-and-effect kept them interested, so my son kept steering the train into different curves during quiet time.
After breakfast, the custom paths stopped it feeling repetitive, and the kids kept experimenting with different track shapes.

We used this during a sleepover and it became a group activity almost immediately. One child loaded the train while the others decided where the track should go next.
